here is mine compared to the final product. i was told the CAD is bulkier but in your case I think it looks extra bulky…

Barbarav14:  thanks! My ring is a size 4 and my center stone is 1.65 carats. The CAD of your ring looks like a beautiful design, is that an oval diamond?

I do think the prongs look extra bulky. Getting a wax model will help for sure.

Mine looked chunky like that in the CADs too but it turned out beautiful. I dont have the CADs to show and the pic doesnt capture it well, but hopefully that helps! 

 

Also, I’m a software developer who’s done a fair share of 3d imaging, it’s extremely hard to get smooth lines in 3d images without spending a TON of time on it. Same principle behind why making really realistic looking HD video games is much harder and takes a lot more man/processing power than making a really blocky pixelated game.
