Our budget was slashed 🙁
Part of our budget was to get the center stone for my Engagement Ring, I still want that done but I am not even sure where to start.
I loveee the look of a blue diamond, anyone know of an affordable place online?

I know Chatham makes lab created diamonds (real diamonds, not simulants) in blue and I think they are slightly less expensive than mined diamonds.
Does it have to be a diamond? I know they also make blue moissanite…just a thought.
Good luck 🙂

You’ll have to go lab created if you’re looking for budget coloured diamonds, http://www.diamondscultured.com have solitaires for less than $1k. They seem to mainly do round brilliants.
Bluenile is one of the usual suspects for natural diamonds, all certified GIA and cater for most budgets. Have you got a preferred setting or cut?

You could consider a sapphire too.

The cheapest loose blue diamond I found on blue nile was .31 ct and 15k. Sooo… I think you are limited to the “blue diamond- LOOK” or you can find a plethora of options in white. Blue diamond cluster ring rather than a bigger stone? Aquamarine, Sapphire, or Blue topaz (even with some white diamonds (halo) to provide some extra sparkle and please fiance) would be doable and lovely.
These came from a quick google session- Majestydiamonds.com is the site
Price: $609 2 1/3 ctw
Oh!!! this is a .5 round blue diamond centerstone with .25 diamond setting- $1300!! diamondme.com
Hope that helps!!

That’s a great idea, i’ve never seen one in blue! Thanks so much!
I was hoping for a cusion or asher, not great cuts on a budget lol I will totally check it out, I was thinking of going for a london blue topaz for my ring but i’m scared it wont hold up.
I’m thinking that too! Ruby and Saph are right there in hardness, not a diamond, but i’m not too hard on my ring.
o0o I like the icy color, thanks!!

What about sapphire? natural sapphire co has a wide range of cuts & colors…

@ourforeveroath How about a London blue topaz? It has a similar deep, teal-blue look. Sapphires might be too dark in comparison.

Betterthandiamond and Brilliant Earth both sell blue lab created diamonds.

@ourforeveroath blue topaz and aquamarine could be options for you too.

If you’re considering a sapphire, ceylon sapphires come in lighter blue, like a cornflower color.

I love the one with milgrain!! Do you mind sharing where you found it? I assume these are treated (which I dont care about for a RHR)?
