I use Jewelers Mutual for my rings. I found it very affordable. You can go to their site and get an policy estimate.

I added mine to the homeowner’s insurance policy.  It did cover theft, loss of diamonds, etc.  I didn’t realize that wasn’t common, so I guess I was fortunate.

We purchased a separate policy. We already had renter’s insurance, and then got a jewelry policy. It was a bit more than the rider would have been, but I always figure I’m more likely to lose or damage my ring than have it stolen. We have both insurances through State Farm.

I had it originally on our homeowners’ insurance, but my agent told me that a claim for my ring would make my homeowners’ premium skyrocket. So I decided to put my Engagement Ring, wedding ring and my grandmother’s engagement ring on a separate policy.

I added mine to my existing policies. It does cover the extras. Its not exactly affordable, but its more affordable than having to replace her.

I have a stand alone cash out policy through chubbs. It costs a bit more than others but the policy is less of a hassle than others in the event of a loss. in my opinion it was worth the extra costs for peace of mind.

Edit: it covers everything from loss, damage, theft, shipping and pretty much everything. My agents exact words were “it covers everything and as long as you dont throw it off the golden gate bridge you are insured”. Haha

Cut you a check for full amount and you can buy whatever you want with it to replace it. And I’ve heard it won’t affect your premium. My friend cracked her diamond and they gave her a check for the full amount she insured it for within a week.
