Is it the cost or the size that’s the main issue?

If it’s the cost, and he could afford it, then just accept the generous gift that it was and move on.

If it’s the size, then give it a bit of time and see. If it really ends up getting in your way, or makes you feel uncomfortable, or doesn’t work well with your lifestyle, then consider talking to your Fiance further about it.

i had similar problem before ( I kept thinking this ring could buy a brandnew car why waste so much money LOL) , but things changed when all of family and friends asked to see a ring and complimented on how great quality the diamond is. I can see his pride and very big smile. so i stop complaining and got insurance instead.

It’s beautiful! Enjoy it. Once you are married there will be other expenses and you may never have the extra money.  He wanted you to have it. Once again enjoy, it’s beautiful.

I also don’t like blingy rings, but if you like it even just a little bit, I’d keep it to spare his feelings. You can always wear just your wedding band on a daily basis and save this ring for special occasions.

I’d be more concerned about future purchases. Are you on the same page financially? It’s cute now, but a lifetime of him spending twice what you think he should is going to get old real fast.

My ring looks very similar..halo with 1.01 carat center and that much around. It seems way big compared to everyone else &,I did find out price…he can afford it but I’m in shock. I didn’t expect it. Gwcsaid he’s only ever buying 1 ring (i.e. no divorce, no upgrades, etc). Made me feel good and if he insists then I’ll wear it
