Congratulations! And that is a lovely ring. Mine is a simple solitaire, but given that it was new to my finger, and so brand new and shiny, it did take a few days to get used to seeing it! I’d say give it some time.

fsmhbt:  You decribed yourself as plain. Maybe he wanted to get you that ring to show you how special you are.

fsmhbt:  It’s your forever ring which means (to me) you don’t have to worry about upgrading.  A girl could never have too much bling!

fsmhbt:  It doesn’t look too big on you at all! Actually it looks quite usual for around the bee – maybe have a look at some of the ring boards where ladies post their sparklies? So long as you love it that’s all that matters. Congratulations on your engagement! Your Fiance sounds like a sweetie.

Beautiful, I kind of know how you feel though. I overheard my boyfriend tell the jeweler the budget and although he has that and much more in the bank it still could go to cars, a boat, house, I’m not sure how I feel about spending so much on jewelry – but, I’m going with this is kind of my one chance and the only thing I plan to wear forever.

It’s lovely! I say wear it with pride.  You definitely won’t be the girl begging for an upgrade in ten years

It’s beautiful! I thought the same thing at first and I thought I would be self concious wearing it because it’s a bit bigger and blingier than the average among my friends. But I got over it FAST because I just focused on how beautiful it is!!!! just enjoy it, especially since you said it is not breaking the bank for him!

Your center stone looks about the same as mine! It took me awhile to get used to wearing it – I remember it feeling so weird at first, but now it’s like a part of me. Give yourself time to adjust to wearing something on your finger everyday, and you should be fine.

I don’t think that’s too gaudy at all. It’s perfect! Besides. After wearing it for a while you’ll grow used to it!
