@vmec: I agree wtih your first post. As brides, yah we all love to talk about wedding stuff and show off our rings/dresses/shoes. That’s why we’re on weddingbees! but it doesn’t mean other people want our fancy rings pushed in their places. There’s a lot of women who are long overdue for proposals, who have to see every fb message/pc about their “friends” 2 carat rings. (see our waiting board)
be happy with your life. but remember what is was like being single and sitting on the other side of the fence.

@vmec: I love seeing pictures of rings and I am not a bride-to-be…or at least, not officially. At some point in my life I hope to be a bride and therefore I am a bride-to-be-but-not-for-ages haha.

I posted pictures of my ring in an album that included pics from the day of our engagement. I got a lot of really nice comments on my ring and the entire album, so I hope I didn’t get on anyone’s nerves with our pictures 🙂 I never posted a pic of my e-ring as a profile pic though, for me, that seemed like it could be taking it a step too far.

I posted six pictures of the proposal process, and the end one was my ring. It kinda completed the album. I was too dang ecstatic not too share.

I posted one picture of it on my hand when I got engaged (a lot of people asked to see it, but I was going to post it anyway even if no one asked), and I also posted some other photos I took of it later when I mass uploaded to my “Mexico” photo album, since we were in Mexico at the time my Fiance proposed.

Well….. I picture messaged everyone in my phone when he proposed! And then of course, you HAVE to make it FACEBOOK OFFICIAL! Cause we all know it ain’t official until facebook knows, right? Kidding! But no, I would post it!

I don’t have my ring yet (soon, hopefully) but when I do I am totally showing it off in any venue that is appropriate! the Bee, Facebook, twitter…When I get that ring people will know! If they are offended or annoyed then they are welcome to unfriend me. That will be one of the happiest days in my life and I know most of my friends will be thrilled because they know how much I love my man and my (to-be) bling!!!
