I have this problem too. I will probably give it to my MoH before the ceremony.

I wore my grandmother’s ring on my right hand for my wedding (my something old), so I gave my engagement rings to my sister (MOH) before the ceremony.  She wore them on her pinky, and gave them back to me after the ceremony, before the pictures.  If you’re scared of giving it to someone else, even for a short time, you could always keep it on and after you exchange rings quickly flip them (or wait until after the ceremony when you’re not on display).

If it doesn’t fit, switch them around right after the ceremony. I’ll be wearing mine on my right hand.

I put my e-ring on my right hand and switched it back after the ceremony.

I’m thinking about wearing it on my left hand, pulling it off so he can put the band on, then slipping the e-ring back on right then during the vows? or does this sound too complicated?

I’m planning on wearing mine then flipping them around after the ceremony. I have another ring I’m gonna wear on my right hand, and I’m not comfortable not having it on even for a short time.

@bookworm88:I don’t think it sounds complicated, and it may be a nice reminder for the nervous groom as to which hand and finger it goes on, haha.

I meant to wear mine on my right hand for the ceremony, but I forgot to switch it, so it was on my left.  No one noticed and I switched them after the ceremony.

I voted best man, but my mom or Maid/Matron of Honor will be holding it.

So I picked “give both to the best man” but really my E-Ring IS my wedding band (just one ring)

However if I did have a separate wedding band I’d probably just wear the ring on my left hand like normal and flip the rings around after if I wanted the wedding band closer to my hand.

I wouldn’t do any moving around of rings during the ceremony… I’d be too scared that I’d drop one!

Because we took the majority of our pictures before the ceremony, I wore my e-ring on my left hand until right before the ceremony. I’m surprised I remembered to change it over to the right! Then I wore them together the rest of the night.

I wore my e-ring on my right hand, but I didn’t tell my husband that I was switching it.  When the time came for him to put on my wedding band he kept reaching for my right hand (where the e-ring was) and I kept trying to whisper “no, the other one” while moving it away from him.  It took a few tries, but he got it.  He said he just knew that they went together.  So if you move your rings around, tell your honey ahead of time. Laughing
