@girlynerdy:  I think it’s very pretty and definitely unique. Not something you see very often. I love the swirly design of it and think it suits your hand beautifully. 🙂

@girlynerdy:  Congrats!!!!!  That ring is to die for, and by no stretch of the imagination small! There are a couple bees around that have the swirl type design, which I love, love, love!

@girlynerdy:  I love it and I also love your polish! I think the bee makes us hyper aware of our rings, especially in comparison to others. Try not to get stuck in that loop! Your ring looks great on your finger, and I think you should focus more on your initial feelings.. How happy you were that he got it right!

Do you know where he got the ring from? Could you ask him if he knows any of the specs? Honestly though, none of that matters or should affect how you feel!

Congrats on your engagement!

I don’t think it’s small at all. I think it is beautiful, and it looks super pretty on your finger. To me, it seems that the ring gives a good amount of coverage, and that it is a great size for you.

Congratulations to you! You must be so excited and thrilled. I am happy for you.

@girlynerdy:  Your ring is beautiful, and as long as you think so that is all that matters. Trust me if you look on here, you will begin to feel insecure. I experienced the same thing, it seemed like everyone has 2-3 ct rings, and have a $100,000 wedding budget. In the real world, atleast where I live, that is NOT reality lol. One thing I have noticed too, a lot of bees have moissanites or other stones. So just because you see a sparkly clear stone doesn’t mean it’s a big money diamond.

Congratulations on your engagement!

@girlynerdy:  Its beautiful!  Don’t let ring envy get the best of you.  Everyone gets that once and a while.

Oh and I love that polish!

@girlynerdy:  Comparison is the thief of joy.

Actually, that is a really nice size center with lots of extra diamonds in it! He did good. 🙂

Don’t worry! You’re not alone. When I first received mine, I thought Oh! It’s so gorgeous and perfect and it looks pretty big! But when I get to comparing with the bees with 2+ carat sparklers, mine seems small. But it isn’t! In real life, it’s either average or big depending on where I am! (0.5 carat center in a stunning halo with an eternity band, approx. 1.5 carats tcw.)

A few things I do when I start feeling like this:

-get it cleaned. Mine is definitely more impressive when it’s freshly clean and shiny!

-look at the 0.5 carat ring threads… Those rings don’t look small at all and there are lots of cool settings… And mine fits right in!

-take it off for a day, I miss it.

-picture me and my SO actually spending $20,000 on a ring. Walk myself through that. Where would the money come from, would it feel awkward or not, what would I rather spend it on? Not that people should never do it, just helps put it in perspective.

-remember that some of those gorgeous rings are something other than diamond… The posters don’t always include specs with their rings. Some of the big ones are asha diamonds, moissanite, CZ, white sapphire, etc.

Anyhoo, gorgeous ring and congrats on your engagement!

EDIT: An estimate on the center stone. It depends on your finger size, but assuming your finger is an average of 6ish… I think maybe 0.75 carats give or take. Including the setting? Probably 1.4 or 1.5, but I might be off some.

@girlynerdy:  I was felt somewhat the same way when I first joined the bee. IRL where I live, my ring is probably bigger than average with better than average specs. Not that it affects how much I love my ring, but I never had to question the size and specs of it before starting here. While I still do love my ring, here on the Bee its seems to be average or below average. That made me a little envious for a while, then I realized this is a internet forum where some people think it isn’t a big deal to drop 25K on an engagement ring. And I really can’t compare myself to these people, because we very obviously have different values in life.
