@mindysoo:  Wow you are a lucky girl πŸ™‚

I would pick the VC, it’s beautiful and looks classy and different.

I’m not a big solitaire fan, specially now when we have so many options to choose from that are not solitaires.

Good luck and enjoy e shopping!

As much as I love Tiffany rings, I like the second one best.

There is nothing quite like the Tiffany solitaire. Pure perfection and absolutely timeless.

Hi @mindysoo: first & foremost, I see you are NEW to WBee… so a BIG Welcome to “the Hive”

    I am not a Solitaire girl…

BUT that is mostly because I am an Encore Bride (been there done that)

Solitaires are nice however if you are a traditonal type of person, and never been down this road before

So understandably, of the 2 rings you’ve shown I much prefer the Halo

Lol, I’d hardly call it a “Cocktail Ring” because Halo ERings are HUGE now… and I don’t think anyone would deny it is to be an ERing

Lol, now on the otherhand as an Encore Bride… I most decidedly wanted a ring that didn’t look like a classic ERing… I wanted a bigger ring, and a lot of diamonds (ala a Cocktail Ring)… Mr TTR insisted that my Ring have a “Feature Stone” so it would qualify in his eyes as an ERing

Hence, this is what I ended up with… a lot different than either of the ones you are considering

PHOTO – ERing (Photo take the day we picked it up)

As for buying on-line or in person.  This is a crap shoot.  Many will argue that prices are better on line vs a brick & mortar store (I don’t deny that)

But I personally won’t buy a Diamond without seeing it in person first.

We ended up dealing with a small well established (30+ years) Family Run Jewellery Store… with a Goldsmith on site.  My ERing is semi-custom, and it is GIA Certifed, with Canadian Diamonds.  I felt confident buying what I did … as I strongly felt that this family stood behind their product.  At the same time, I got better quality than I would have at a chain store… Chain Jewellery Stores have some nice things (and their place in the market) but for higher end stuff they are way overpriced.

Of interest, I did get both my Sparkly & Plain WBands at a Chain Jewellery Store… Quality is good… my Sparkly WBand also was GIA Certified with Canadian Diamonds… and on sale.  Very competitive.  So I was quite content with that choice in that circumstance.

    Hope this helps,

LOL – Needless to say I DID NOT VOTE

@mindysoo:  i have the emilya halo from victor canera and I absolutely love it! Mine is a 2ct center stone. My husband said that working with Victor was very easy and that he was super professional. My husband also found him thorough price scope when he was doing research. I literally get compliments on my ring all the time from strangers. just standing in line at a grocery line, boarding a plane, eating at a restaurant..a woman once literally stopped me in the street to ask to get a better look at my ring. If you go with VC you won’t regret it. We even went back to him and had a matching band made. Also, I’m a clutz and damaged my ring once because I’m stupid and Victor was able to fix it and make it brand new and only charged me 200 dollars. Let me know if you have more questions. I’d be happy to answer them! πŸ™‚
