no but the moral of the story here is never take it off. I wash my hands with soap put lotion on all with the ring. I can clean a ring but I cannot un lose a ring should I lose it.

I don’t take mine off unless I’m exercising or showering (and then there is a specific place I put it so it isn’t misplaced).

You should add another option to your poll though.  Tell Darling Husband and then insurance would replace it for free.  IMO, it is silly to not insure an Engagement Ring (or any other nice, expensive jewelery).

You need an insurance option on your poll. If you don’t have it, get it!!

We were staying at a friend’s cabin out in the woods; it was pretty rural, and there wasn’t much in the way of electricity, running water, or other amenities.  I took my ring off and put it on our sleeping bag while I washed and lotioned my face before going to bed – it was already about 1:00 AM.  While I was doing that, Fiance started shaking out and arranging the sheets.  The ring went flying, and we couldn’t find it in the dark.  We were terrified it had fallen through the cracks between each floor plank and into the inaccessible crawlspace under the cabin.  We eventually found it in a corner, but I was quite worried for several minutes.

@Mrs.KMM: Totally agree with everything you said. I dont’ wear any jewelry without it being insured if its worth anything. Whle it would suck to not have the original piece he proposed with, I would much rather be able to replace it

i couldn’t vote.  in reality, i’d tell Fiance, and then we’d probably discuss it and go from there.  i hope to never be there though.

SOSOSOSOSOSO glad you found it though, what a relief!  how scary…

I don’t know what I’d do if I lost it, but I did almost. I dropped it down the sink. There were tears and stress while we disconnected the sink pipes and groped through sludge, but we found it.

I only take my ring off when I’m working with fondant for my cakes, and even then, my Fiance placed one of those ring holders inside my cabinet so I can put it there safely. I don’t even want to think about if I ever lose my ring, yacks.

I’m very happy you found, and I agree with ppl, get insurance on it. We did. 🙂
