I’d trust your GIA report over a jeweler with a caliper. Beautiful stone.

your diamond is gorgeous! We’ll be doing similar, getting a 1 ct dia equiv size moissanite and replacing it down the road with a real diamond. Schubachs hand picks the Forever Brilliant moissanite and those are supposedly the best but can’t help but notice the moissy looks yellow and dull next to your crisp white diamond. Congrats on your upgrade!

Just fyi, OP’s photos are not typical, here’s a video of a moissanite next to a diamond (the diamond is the biggest stone, moissy in the middle, another diamond on top): http://s1062.photobucket.com/user/valintine1/media/Moissanite%20amp%20Diamonds%20comparison%2035s%20profile.mp4.html?o=0
There are a lot of other pics/videos comparing the two stones online, I’ve never seen them look as dissimilar as they do in the OP’s photos (either online or IRL!).
OP congrats on your new purchase, I hope the new stone fits in your setting and please post more photos when it’s done!!

thanks for the info. All are beautful rings! Any idea of the specs on the diamonds and if those are super high quality GIA certified like the original poster? My friend has a FBmoissy engagement ring and we have compared it to some average diamonds. It looks close enough to pass as a diamond but has more color and a sliightly different facet pattern (shallow?) and sparkle. Most won’t be examing it like we did and that’s what I’m banking on for mine!
I’ve posted this before but here is a video of the Forever Brilliant Moissanite factory where it is made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rkFSwZmpgs
