E-rings that does not sit flush with a band – what wedding band did you get?

My rings don’t sit flush and the gap does not bother me. I would just recommend that you be mindful, the stones from my bands (I stack) were rubbing against the prongs of my ering and I had to get spacers.. that set is beautiful btw!

My ering has a very slight curve and a surprise stone that prevents straight bands from sitting flush. I do mind the gap so I went with a custom made contour band that can be also worn on its own.

Ignore my dry hands, ugh winter. I got a band made to go around my setting. I got them attached, but chevron rings seem to be in these days so it could probably be worn alone too 🙂

Also, I didn’t know they existed at the time, but I love the bow tie style rings, something like that might work for you, or a small open infinity shape (examples below)

The way my oval solitaire e-ring is, I didn’t like the look of a curved band. I also didn’t like having a space between my band and e-ring. My jeweler suggested getting a band with a space cut where it needs to sit, so that it is flush. I’m getting my rings soldered after the wedding. I like how you can still see the design in the e-ring this way. (Sorry not the best pictures & ring is really dirty lol).

I’m getting a custom made band with a slight curve in it. I thought I always hated curved bands, but with the custom design, I was able to get one I love! It’s going to literally be a very slight curve with shared prongs half eternity band style (think a slight curved Tiffany embrace!)

I have a wonky shaped ring, so I knew I wasn’t going to find one without a gap. I did try a bendy one, but unless I soldered them together, they wouldn’t connect completely and they’d spin, which would drive me nuts.

I decided to pick the ruby ring and the gap doesn’t bother me at all!

You have a beautiful set, by the way!

miumui :  I am not sure if you would want to commit to something like this, I had it done when I had a marquise solitaire, but I had a notch cut out of one of the prongs so that a band could sit flush. I know the shape and gold of a marquise setting is much different than your gorgeous basket, but perhaps it could be done? Again not sure if you even want to do something like that, but I just could not find a curved band that I liked to go with my marquise and since it was a slender 1.5 carat, it was super hard.

mrsbluetomato :  OMGOSH I love your ring! We need to catch up! I love it. What did you do with the spacer? I love your set. The diamond band you have, did you have it made or did you find it behind the counter? How is your gorgeous beauty holding up? Every time I see it I die. I love the complete set you have. Are you happy with it?

miumui :  The space is about 5-5.5 mm on the cuff ring!

I’m seriously learning toward an open ring and have quite a few favorited on Etsy.

Due to the gap beteeen my ering and band,  I’m looking for one with a 10mm gap and 1-2mm wide.

It’s an extra expense though,  so it’ll wait until after the wedding.

Here’s my ering with a couple of cheap rings I was trying out the look of a stack with for my ering(the sapphire)

It’s too much bling with the Cz band and I’d prefer the spacer band only be in the gap.

Some Etsy options:

Art deck and too bling for me,  but you may like it

I like the simplicity,  but still use of the sapphire in this one

And here are a couple of gold ones I might actually pick.  They arent expensive, under $100. Yes they look similar,  but one has a hammered finish and the other doesn’t.

My e-ring is rose-cut and sits right up against my finger, so I have a large gap, unless my wedding band is curved.  I’ve tried so many options!

Here is my current fave band:

And here is an open cuff band: (on top of the e-ring). This was pretty but the open ends were constantly getting caught on my hair/clothes :
