I have no problem with early weddings, but in my experience the late ones have been more fun, while the early ones have had more of a classy brunch feel.

I think early-in-the-day weddings are super romantic and sweet. ypically the reception is more about the meal, and mingling. Evening weddings tend to be a bit more a PARTY (eg: dancing and drinking and more).  I think it depends on the vibe that you and your Fiance want!

I agree with lilyfaith. I think when you have an evening wedding, you become the main “entertainment” for folks that night–in essence, you are what they’re “going out” for. If you have a daytime wedding, people are less likely to party hard (if you’re having alcohol/dancing) and more likely to be better behaved 🙂

I like the idea of a reception as a big crazy party! Evening time for me!

I agree with what everyone has said. We’re having a brunch reception and it is definitely going to be more about relaxed elegance. We’re also having an after party for the “big crazy party” part.

Sounds like you made the right choice — if you want lots of dancing, gotta go with evening!  🙂
