I had cramps more days than not up until 18-19 weeks. Neither the Re or midwife were concerned, so I wasn’t either.

lsp2015:  For my first pregnancy, I cramped from 5 to 8 weeks. Normally at night. No pattern.

Second pregnancy I only had horrible cramps when I miscarried.

This pregnancy I had cramps starting at 9 weeks (the point where I miscarried baby #1). They got bad as I grow. At 25 weeks I have horrible Braxton Hicks.

The difference between normal pregnancy cramps and miscarriage cramps (for me), is that miscarriage cramps woke me up from a sound sleep and there is no mistaking what was happening. Regular cramps are dull (but annoying) and are more stretching than trying to expel the baby from the uterus.

lsp2015:  I had really bad cramps regularly (almost every night) during weeks 4 and 5. After that they were only occasional until the end of my pregnancy.

I had very severe cramping during weeks 5-6, at night only. It woke me up, made me throw up and I even fainted once. I went to the ER after that night and it turned out it was just endometriosis scar tissue getting stretched because of the growth.

I’ve been cramp free until last week (17). I was having then menstrual like cramps, dull and without any patterns. I called my OB, she saw me the same day and everything is fine. Still growing pains.

My OB said I was dehydrated thought, which apparently can aggravate cramps. I try to drink more, rest more also and the cramps have subsided.

I hope everything is fine for you and, I say when in doubt call your doctor. It is my first pregnancy, everything is new to me and it was a great relief to know everything was fine.

Mine were mild but constant from bfp at 10dpo until about 5 or 6 weeks.  I’m 13w5d now and still get them on and off, but it feels different now, like stretching.  The early cramping felt very similar to menstrual cramps.

I had mild constant cramps from day one till I was 6-7 weeks. They felt exactly like period cramps. I just knew the clomid didn’t work and I was about to start af! Surprise!! Positive test at 3 weeks!
