This is our first month TTC, so I pretty much know nothing about getting pregnant except having sex as much as possible lol. Has anyone had pain during sex as an early sign of pregnancy? Darling Husband and I were having sex last night, and if he went really deep (sorry, tmi I know!), it was like there wasn’t enough room for him and he was hitting my cervix. This has never happened before, and I’ve been on the pill for the past 6 years, so I don’t know if it could just be because I’m starting to ovulate again or what. Anyone else have this happen and end up being pregnant? I still have about 10 days before AF should show up so I know it’s still early to test.

Kld37: for me, painful sex was more in time with ovulation. Which I should add is a little strange, since usually your cervix is higher at ovulation. I guess maybe mine was more sensitive or something.

Like CocoLoco523 said, this is more likely due to where you are in your cycle – your cervix moves up higher in your vagina (and becomes soft and open) right before ovulation, and after it drops back down lower (and becomes firm and closed again). The cervix is more sensitive during pregnancy, but feeling like he’s hitting it will have more to do with where it’s positioned. If you’ve been on the pill for 6 years, you haven’t been having normal cycles, so these cervical changes will be new to you.
Best of luck! Try not to analyze symptoms too much – in the end, most of them can be PMS, too, and true strong pregnancy symptoms don’t kick in for most women until around 6 weeks.
