I am currently 3 weeks, 4 days pregnant – 1 Beta drawn =38 (going for another on Monday). Line progression steadily darkening and temps remaining elevated above cover line.
Now my questions (TMI?):
I noticed some pinky-brown spotting around implantation for 2-ish days, but since then I’ve had off & on brown liquidy spotting, no clots – usually worse 1st thing in the morning or after a Bridesmaid or Best Man. I’m mildly crampy and bloated but certainly nothing severe or concerning in that respect. Did anyone else experience brown spotting in early pregnancy? Did you find it correlated with early miscarriage or just normal process of the uterus doing its thing?
I’ve also noticed my breasts are intermittently sore – one day they were suuuuuper sore and kind of throbbing, and then today they’re just sore if I put pressure on them? Did you find your breast tenderness waxed & waned in early pregnancy?
Gosh, its so hard being pregnant for the 1st time – everything is just a little bit scary because it’s new and you don’t know what’s normal. I really hope I’m not having an early miscarriage 🙁
ETA: My doctor is aware of the spotting – she checked my blood type and HCG but didn’t offer any other advice – just kept saying “you’re so early still”.

According to my doctor, spotting occurs in 25% of normal, healthy pregnancies and is often completely harmless. I’d keep an eye on it and keep your doctor posted, but as long as it doesn’t become heavy or accompanied by painful cramps, it’s probably ok. The fact that your lines are progressing is a great sign.
As for the boob thing, I’m newly pregnant too (4w5d) and have noticed the level of boob soreness can change even from one hour to the next. Right now the gals are super sore, but a few hrs ago they were just a bit tender. It’s so weird!

As long as the bleeding is not bright red or a lot you’re fine. You will bleed while you’re pregnant sometimes. It’s scary but you’re okay. If your beta levels go down that’s rhenonly time you would have to worry and then it’s probably only your progesterone levels which can be corrected with pills or cream. Just keep taking your prenatals and getting lots of sleep and don’t worry too much cause stress is not good for baby!

I had some spotting, but it wasn’t a lot and wasn’t prolonged.
Boob soreness, fullness, tenderness definitely comes and goes. I would totally freak when my boobs weren’t sore anymore – but everything was fine!
My son is 7.5 weeks now, so we’re a case of “everything was fine!”
As hard as it is, try to relax. It really is not good for you and the baby. Deep breaths. You’re pregnant now, take comfort in that.
I remember those days, and let me tell you – the worry never goes away! Now I get to stress every minute of every day about SIDS. Another terrible thing out of our control that takes our babies – sigh.

I had spotting at 7 weeks, then pretty bad bleeding around 15 weeks. My 8 week old is currently going to town on my boob 🙂 The best pregnancy advice I can give you is to try to relax and STAY OFF THE INTERNET. My ultrasound technician made me promise my baby that I would stay off Google and pregnancy forums. Worry / anxiety is not good for you or the baby
And congrats on your pregnancy!!
