Those numbers are totally fine. Don’t worry! You’re pregnant.

In my non professional opinion, the guy was WAYYY too early in trying to see anything at only 4 weeks.. I mean is he new!? 8 seems to be the minimum.

Future Mrs.L:  That HCG is a great number for that early!

Future Mrs.L:  Your DR should have known better- that’s early to see much of anything (perhaps not impossible, but not the norm)– after being on pregnancy forums, the Bee- and reads around the internet about various topics, I have yet to encounter a woman who had either vaginal or abdominal ultrasound that early and DID see a baby in there.  So I wouldn’t be stressing in the least.

Future Mrs.L:  my doctor told me not to bother going in before 8-9 weeks because there would be nothing to see! I think its totally normal. Maybe there would be a sac of some sort? maaaaaaybe….. But definatly no fetal pole or anything. I find that odd they would try that early. If you check out the videos on what to expect when your expecting app it will show you that the baby is just literally a ball os cells at that point, probably the size of a pin lol.

When I was 4.5 weeks my hcg was 239. At my 8.5w ultrasound the baby was the size of a raspberry….so super small. The doctor also scared the crap outta me when I got my first hcg back and as it turns out everything was FINE! Im sure you will be too.

MrsEME:  But, I did have an ultrasound that early (to discount multiple pregnancy) and it was a sign of things to come. Measuring way behind all along and eventual mc. Having said that, all the worry and Fret didn’t help what ultimarely happeneD.

phoebephoebo:  Just out of pure curiosity- is there a specific reason why you were concerned there might be multiple babies?
