I can see why it might seem stressful, but try to look on the upside – you got the cathedral that you were hoping for and now you’ll have all afternoon to enjoy the outdoor reception venue!

Our wedding is at 11am, so I can relate to hassles of “how am I going to get ready on time?!”  We’ve been able to find a make-up artist to come to our getting-ready area, so that cuts out a lot of time in traffic/transportation/etc.  It could be fun with all your bridesmaids up early, sharing breakfast and coffee/tea together while you primp, seeing the complete transformation of “morning bed head” to “gorgeous bride” …

I’ve estimated myself an 1.5 for hair/makeup (hoping to get that done simultaneously), consider 30 minutes for getting dressed.  All I have to do prior to that is get up, take a shower, and then head off to my location.  If you’re already at the hotel you don’t even need to worry about that.

Oh and something else to think about – even if you hate getting up early regularly, you might find yourself so nervous/excited/eager for your wedding day that you’ll get up early anyhow!  So at least this way an early wedding means who don’t have to wait all day in anticipation.  Good luck!  🙂
