Does anyone know of a great indoor/outdoor location in the East Bay that will allow an outside caterer? I was hoping to have my reception at a winery in Livermore but it seems as if they all require you to use their caterer. Any help is much appreciated!

Hmm…that is a doozy. I got married at Ruby Hill Golf Club, they def require you use their food (although it’s delicious). Let me think about it and get back to you…

A smidge outside the true East Bay, I attended a wedding at the Benicia Arsenal and it was definitely a great space.

We found a few in the North Bay/Napa/Sonoma and in San Francisco that let you use your own caterer. Have you tried the Brazillian Room in Tilden Park? I think they may allow different caterers? Also, there is UC Berkeley and The Dunsmuir Hellman Mansion in Oakland. I didn’t check any of those out personally so I can’t remember what their caterering requirements are.
Check out http://www.herecomestheguide.com/northern-california/wedding-venues/region/east-bay/66/. They may have a more extensive list. Good luck!

I agree with the Brazilian Room, and you could also try Canyon View in San Ramon, although I think you need to pay an extra fee to bring in outside catering there.

@Kiki321: I would love to help you find the right location. I hate seeing a bride who is stuck without a venue that makes them happy. I am actually based in the east bay. Contact me at http://lavitabellaevents.com I can do some research for you and connect with some of my favorite vendors and see what we can do. I am familiar with Ruby HIll, Casa Real and Palm Event Center which sounds like what you were interested in but you want to be able to BYO caterer. I do give my thimbs up to the Brazillian room, you must book that one way ahead of time fyi. -Cheers 🙂 How exciting! What other things are going on with your wedding? colors, dress? flowers? decor? If you cant tell. I love everything wedding and like to hear about it.
