Maybe the Biltmore in Asheville NC? I don’t have any advice about whether you’ll have the time but Asheville is a nice area as is the DuPont State Forest which is close if you’re into hiking and waterfalls.

So funny, we drove by the Corning Glass Museum on our last roadtrip, but had no idea it was such a draw until we had already passed it. Hopefully will make it back soon.

Near there in New York state there is so much to see. Finger Lakes wine region, Cooperstown is a cool town and the baseball Hall of Fame is there if either of you would be interested in that, Niagara Falls is touristy but still pretty and you could walk over and go to Canada.

This sounds like such a fun honeymoon! I’ll chime in again if I think of more.

I know the Corning Museum of Glass extremely well. Look online to sign up the day before for a docent tour-they really know their stuff. The museum is fabulous; you will love it!

steny03 :  I’m from the Finger Lakes, AKA NY wine country, and it’s beautiful! Tons of breweries & wineries on every lake. I will say you never can predict what the weather is going to be like that time of year in New York haha. There’s also; Watkins Glen, Letchworth State Park, the Adirondacks (if you like the outdoors/it’s good weather,) the Saratoga Springs area is really cute with a lot of attractions/museums, the racetrack, & then the state capital Albany is not too far, the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, if you’re going to NYC of course the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building! & a ton of good art museums.

If you go up north to Plattsburgh you could take the ferry to Burlington, VT. Never been but it’s on my list 🙂

Not sure if you’ll be in Virginia or not but I thought Colonial Williamsburg was a cool sight!
