We are getting married in British Columbia, in the Okanagan, but my fiance is from Prince Edward Island. I would like the favour to say something about us, but I’m having trouble landing on an item that either reflects us both, or at least pays homage to his background given that we’re marrying far away from his home.
At first i was thinking of doing a seafood cracker with a little thank you tag on it, but then thought it might make people think we’re having lobster for dinner. My next idea is to give two small bottles of jam in one package (one from the Okanagan (well known for its fruit growing) and one from PEI). The problem there is that it would end up being about $11 per person. Not sure I want to spend $1500 on favours! lol.
The other option is that we could put them out on the table alternating the bottles for each guest (i.e. one from PEI, next from BC, PEI, BC, etc.).
Does anyone else have any ideas about incorporating east coast elements into a west coast wedding?
Sorry for the long post!
