@StuporDuck:  You what’s even more weird or disturbing, you can get milk at Canadian Tire! Come on…. let the stores be what they ARE, a car shop is a car shop, not groceries…. I wonder when Home Depot will jump on this band wagon?

@StuporDuck:  I totally agree that no one should be forced to observe a holiday which has no meaning to him or her. However, those making these decisions for national, regional, or local retailers obviously have the ability to decide if they want to remain open or to close for the observance of any holiday. I’m guessing that businesses that have chosen to be closed for Easter have determined that it doesn’t make sense from an economic standpoint to be open on Easter and/or they want to honor requests from their employees, depending on the individual situation for a particular business. It’s like Chick-Fil-A not being open on Sunday. Chick-Fil-A doesn’t force anyone to accept its Christian values. However, if you want to eat Chick-Fil-A on Sunday, you need to purchase it a day or so early. (Which, by the way, I’ve actually done.)

It’s bizarre, in England there are still very strict rules on how long shops are allowed to be open on any Sunday. In Scotland, there are shops open on even Christmas day (although shorter hours on some holidays because fewer people are willing to work and they get paid more for doing so).

I’m just pissed that all the Easter specials are ruining my tv schedule!

I don’t celebrate Easter, and had a pretty funny conversation with my friend on Skype about it:

Me: aww no new episode of Once Upon a Time tonight 🙁
Her: aww man
Her: I was looking forward to that
Me: stupid resurrection, ruining my TV schedule. *shakes fist*
Her: no himym or castle or 2 broke girls either T_T
Me: apparently network television takes their jesus vry srsly

Her: how dare he die for my sins
Me: pssh IKR

@msfahrenheit:  Me, too! And then I remember! Of course, now that I live far away from a Chick-Fil-A, it’s a bit of a moot point for me, lol.

@StuporDuck:  I would anticipate that you could reheat the components separately (bread in the toaster oven, chicken breast or nuggests in the microwave or toaster oven) and then replace the pickles, and it would be pretty good. However, the one time I purchased CFA on a Saturday night for Sunday, I bought a Southwest Salad (or whatever the actual name is), so there really wasn’t a noticeable impact.

@StuporDuck:  My friend is in corporate lending and Chick fil a is one of her accounts. Apparently there was a Chick fil a somewhere that always had tons of unexplained cash on Mondays. Turns out they were open on Sundays haha. Corpotate was not pleased.

@StuporDuck:

YET, the public is very Jeso-centric, and nearly EVERYTHING is closed!

ARGGGH. I am right there with you. I seriously, seriously hate it … even SuperTarget is closed! WTF!

Easter is just another day to us. Actually, I forgot that today even was Easter until I signed into FB and everyone’s posting about what they’re doing. We’ve been sick for a week so we haven’t left the house all weekend but under normal circumstances, I would be annoyed that everything is closed. I’d probably have found myself at Walmart since they never close.
