LoL! I’m definitely doing this! And my vases will be FREE already asking family and friends to collect bottles and jars. Well, I may spends a few dollars on ribbon/lace/twine to jazz them up a bit, but that will be mostly scraps from other decor things or stuff I have kicking around. These plus Ikea tea lights (holders 4/$1.99 candles 100/$3.99) on burlap runners and done!

Blue Mason jars are the devil!

I’m constantly searching for those and vintage tea tins. The best price I’ve found on the Mason jars is $5 each, but that was only once. Most that I’ve been coming across are $7-8 if purchased in person, but if you find them on ebay, go ahead and expect to pay another $30 just for shipping.

If anyone is finding either of thing items at decent prices, please let me know.

Thank you for posting this!!  I’m having a florist do half of my centerpieces (tall ones) and I have been searching high and low for ideas for the other half.  I knew they would be low, simple, inexpensive and easy to make the night before.  These ideas are awesome.

@Paigey:  Not exactly the same, but I’ve seen brides take clear mason jars and coat the inside with clear blue paint for the same look.

@Paigey:

I know you are down to the wire, so this may be too late, but here you go…

I came across new blue mason jars being sold on the Sears web site at a very resonable price. I believe it’s 6 pint jars for around $10. Check them out, I  know I’ll be purchasing these for myself

How is it possible to buy flowers at groceries stores if you dont even know, the day before, whether the store carries your specific flowers and the specific number of them (lots)?
