So, Joann’s has these baskets on sale for 1.50 right now. I snagged two and glued some lace around the edge. We are making the flower girl dresses, so when we get the fabric for those, I’ll make some fabric flowers and add them to the edge. This has to be the easiest and cheapest DIY I’ve done so far! I used that exact basket from Joann’s for mine! I had some purple satin from another project, and I hand-sewed a long strip of it. Then I cut one side of the handle so that I could slip on the satin and I snaked the handle through it then glued the end of hte handle back on. Then I just cut out a square of satin and folded the ends inside and hot glued them inside…it didn’t need to be perfect since you won’t even look inside of it. It was like a 10 minute project…I’ll take a pic later and post it!

omg i’m going to Joanns right now, even if they aren’t on sale and THANK YOU SO MUCH for the lace idea… i’m in a rutt and didn’t even think to use the lace that i used on my invites, on this basket. HORRAY!! it looks so pretty!
