:-/ Well, my target for weght loss ended up at 1300… Woohoo, I get 100 more calories. Haha.

Well nuts and bolts, I can only eat 1100 to have a 500 calorie deficit. Damn desk job!

@Kat:  Ah, I didn’t know about the 20%. My TDEE is 1638 so I’d have to eat 1310 calories to have a 20% deficit.

Apparently I’ve to eat 2,099 calories a day (my TDEE is 2624). 1886 if I don’t get to the gym as much as I’d like to, though.

Heh, cheers. It’s cos I go to the gym for 2-3 hours 5+ days a week. I’m actually trying to build muscle so I should probably eat more than I do.

This looks pretty accurate. It says I should eat 2206 calories/day to maintain my weight (5’4″, 105lbs) with heavy exercise (5-7 times per week, job not physical) which is about what I do and it does! I don’t count calories but I have once or twice for a day just to get a ballpark. I could not even imagine eating only 1200 calories/day unless I were very ill and did not get off the couch!

thankyou so much for posting this! I have platued for weeks now and coudnt understand why… i bumped up my weights, added extra cardio on a 1200/day and nothing!! so going to have a steak n salad sandwich for lunch now! mmmmm

@Kat:  cheers for that bit of info! im glad you said that otherwise i would have been tucking in like no ones business! I just did the caculator thingy and according to that, I am roughly undereating by 600 calories

i ate 1100 calories for a few months and lost 12 lbs (to get to 125) now I have a bodymedia to count my calories and it says I burn about 2000 average a day, so I’m doing 1500. I just started my diet today! Wish me luck 🙂
