Show me your Ebay, Craigslist, Consignment, Vintage store or Pawn shop rings! Brand new or second-hand, show those good deals off!
I’m thinking of either buying a 2nd wedding band off of ebay or scouring consignment/pawn shops until I find something perfect. My job sometimes requires me to be in a less than “safe” part of town, and I feel too conspicuous with my e-ring and soon to be wedding band, so I want to get a decent “stand-in” set to wear out and about in those areas. Curious to see what people found via alternate methods! Saving money is always a brilliant decision!! And like any other girl, I’m all about amazingly great deals!
I remember there was a girl, not too long ago, who found a gorgeous rose gold diamond wedding band at a pawn shop for under 100! Whoever you are…you’ve inspired me!!

@PeachSnapple: Getting ready to purchase this beauty! At $220 it is not only EXACTLY what I have been looking for but it is well within my budget! Courtesy of eBay and the Diamond Zone Chicago.

@PeachSnapple: My channel set engagement band was from a pawn shop, and I had a 1/2 carat moissanite put on it. The stone that came on it was tiiiiiiinnnnnnyyy.

smart idea! What did you end up doing with the original stone?

I got my band from a store on Ebay for ~$200. It’s an antique white gold vine with little itty bitty diamonds throughout. I love it!

Here is my pawn shop stealllll!
Paid $900 for this beautiful ring that you can still buy at Jared’s for $2500!
I am not ashamed, I love it more everyday!

I put it in a “safe place” somewhere and haven’t seen it in years. Seriously, it’s so small. But I do need to find it!

My engagement ring came from http://www.rubylane.com, an online vintage/antique forum. The wedding bands came from amazon (less than $500 for both, and mine appraised at double what we paid for it).

@PeachSnapple: I bought a stand-in for the job I have which is CZ and silver and a tungsten wedding band. I bought it because my ring got banged up all day with cat cans and it allowed me to not worry about my own real ring while I went to the gym next door. If something weird happened that someone came to rob the store I would gladly hand over my CZ stand it.
When I have to be in a not safe neighborhood I just wear the tungsten band. I feel weird even wearing the CZ because chances are something can hurt me for that stupid thing. If I get caught in a bad neighborhood with my actual ring I just turn the diamond into my palm so it looks like a big plain band.

Mine is from a pawn shop but I absolutely love it! We could never habve afforded something like this in a retail store. Fiance negotiated with them for about 2 months as well and got it for a steal. It was appraised at 6 times what we paid for it – we nearly passed out when they told us!!

Holy crap, that’s gorgeous. Is that an OEC?
I wish we’d thought to look at pawn shops! A friend got a gorgeous Tacori setting for super cheap from one. Jerk. lol
