So I have never ordered anything on Ebay until I started wedding planning. It’s been about 3 weeks since I ordered a few things that said would take up to a month to deliver. I went to check out their progress and saw that the person I bought all of my ribbon slides from is no longer a registered user. According to ebay this person might be suspended, might not send your items, etc, etc. I am panicking, hardcore right now. I ordered the items Feb 12, when they were registered, and they have over 25,000 comments, all of which are good except about 50. Should I be worried? Should I order new ribbon slides from another company? I am sending out my invites at the end of May, but want time to put everything together. Should I wait until the beginning of April to buy new ones?
Help!!

Did you pay with PayPal? If so, I’d go ahead and alert them so you can try to get your money back.

Personally, I would never buy something that takes over a week to deliver. Did you buy from china? I would avoid that as well. Sure, it’s cheaper than buying from north America, but the amount you save usually isn’t worth the wait and the crappy service. I think you got ripped off.

Definitely open a dispute, I don’t know if the rules have changed, but it used to be that if the seller was no longer registered, you pretty much got your refund right away.

@GoldfishPie: This was the ONLY place I could find that had these stupid ribbon slides for under $3 a shot including shipping. What a mistake. If it wasn’t for that, I would have ordered somewhere closer.
@Natakie16: Thanks for the suggestion. When I clicked “what does unregister member mean” it offered to allow you to open a dispute, but only if your items were not shipped in a reasonable amount of time. Maybe I will contact them to ask when I should open a dispute, since the shipping was 25-28 days and it has only been 16 days.
Next time I have learned– despite great reviews and whatnot, NO MORE ORDERING FROM CHINA >.<

they could be suspended because they havent paid their ebay fees. if the items are coming from asia 10days to 3weeks is the norm – i order from china/hong kong every month or so and no problems but the wait
goodluck – i hope your item turns up but yes, lodge a complaint with ebay

Definitely open a dispute with Ebay. If you have paid then you should get your money back since it’s Ebay who suspended them.

UPDATE: So everything turned out okay! On Monday I emailed the original sellers asking if they had shipped the item. If it didn’t get here by Friday, I was going to put in a claim. I came home today and THEY ARE HERE! Look amazing and I can’t wait to put them on my invitations. Even with the massive worry, best $20 I ever spent (especially since locally the cheapest price I could get 40 slides with rhinestones for was closer to $80!).
Anyways, thank you for all the information everyone gave! It was extremely helpful in starting (but not having to complete) the claims process.
