I keep reading on here that you can get cheap OPK’s on ebay. And then i also read that there are some that are giving a lot of false positives or doesn’t show positive when it is positive.
Who does everyone purchase from for a good deal and high quailty tests. I found this one today and it seems like a good deal but i’m worried about it being reliable.

I know a lot of ladies here get their OPKs from Amazon. They are affordable and I havent heard any negative experience.

Yeah. I buy mine on Amazon. I don’t really trust ebay sellars for stuff like that since they’re basically middlemen. Amazon is just like buying from a store, but online.

I get mine from amazon. I wouldn’t trust ebay with that. Who knows how they’ve been handled, stored, or if they are out of date.

I buy all of mine from Ebay and I’ve never had any problems, including from the seller you mention. It goes without saying that checking the feedback for the seller is of the utmost importance. For those citing the security of Amazon, they also have a marketplace and sellers acting as middlemen, so you need to be cautious when buying from there too.
As far as I know, I’ve never gotten a false positive from the Ebay cheapos. In the many I’ve used – probably 50 to 100 – I’d estimate that occasionally, about 1% are invalid and don’t display a result at all (usually this is the result of not peeing on ’em enough).
They’ve worked perfectly for me. I’ve found that most of the bundle packs like that are remnants from health clinics (all of those I’ve purchased have an expiration date 2 years out, every time).
That said, you can find cheaper on ebay. I routinely get packs of 50 for just over $6, including S&H. That way, if it’s a bust…well, you only paid $6 anyhow. But, as I’ve said, never had any problem. The seller’s feedback is over 99%, which is very good. Most often in those cases, it’s someone who left a negative review for something petty. But…read through.

I got mine off eBay! They were perfectly fine.
Amazon is typically too expensive when shipping to Canada. But eBay was much cheaper. I bought mine a while ago and don’t see them on eBay at the moment but they were in a white and pink package. Worked great.
(I also had the blue Wondfo’s that Mrs.Maskatobe mailed me and they were great too!)

@CookieCreamCakes: So you have used this same seller? I asked what brand the OKS’s were and they said EGENS, expire in 1 year annd have been kept in a cool dry environment. So i went for it. Figured i couldn’t go wrong. 50 test for $15 + $3 shipping
@Lyndzo: Thanks!! I’m going to give it a try!

Mine are from Ebay. They came in great packaging and I could tell they’ve been looked after. They sell the same brand on Amazon and I know they use them in the NHS (UK healthcare system) so the brand is OK. I trust the seller on Ebay as they have thousands and thousands of positive feedback from people buying the same things. They worked last month and they’re cheaper off Ebay than anywhere else so I’m happy to use them!
