cedes:  That is  REALLY low price for a 1.9ct!!! I would be nervous about the strong fluorescence, especially since it’s an icy E color. My diamond is a VS2 also (cushion cut), and to my knowledge, VS2 is the cut off for where you can’t see inclusions without a loupe…I wouldn’t personally go to an SI1, but I believe all VS2 diamonds are eye clean, even for a step cut. If I were you, I would try to find a diamond with faint or no fluorescence, even if it meant going to an F or G.

Wow, why is the price soo low for that carat weight and specs?! That’s a great deal for bluenile, The specs all look great to me. There is strong fluorescence which brings the price down a little, fluorescence isn’t always a good thing especially when the diamond is in the colorless range. It can cause some haziness in the direct sunlight, and a slight blue tint. But other than that it sounds like a beautful diamond for a great price. Fluorescence doesn’t bother me, so it’s really a matter of preference. I do know that some people won’t buy step cut diamonds unless the clarity is better than a vs1, but I honestly think a vs2 is fine.

OP- you should go to jamesallen.com to see if you can find any emerald cut diamonds with similar specs and prices, they have 360 degree magnified images of all of their diamonds.

That’s not the price, guys. It’s the price PER CARAT.

When I was looking for a diamond on blue nile someone here on the bee suggested I google the gia number.  Sometimes you will find pics of the diamond on other vendors sites.  It worked for me and I could see a picture (on a Japanese site!).  The flourescence might be an issue.  You can always return with blue nile though.
