I was thinking about doing a chocolate bar with a custom designed wrapper as our favor. Now I just heard from my venue that they added an over-the-top s’mores station as a dessert upgrade this summer. It’s five flavors of homemade marshmallows that the guest roast over an open flame that are then handed over to the waitstaff to make a delicious gourmet s’more. I really think this dessert bar will be a big hit with our guests, but I don’t want our guests to be over-choco-fied and leave the favors at the table (especially since FI is designing the wrappers). Should I change the favors? Or get a different dessert option like ice cream sundae bar?
Should I just assume most people will leave the favor anyway?

@antonina: omg I’m sitting here at work and starving.
I think a s’more/sundae/edible favor bar sounds the best XD
I am legit craving chocolate right now.
How do you get over-chocofied? You can still take the favor home and eat it the next day!

@Chrysoberyl: My concern is everyone will be all pumped from the dessert bar and wedding cake and then they’ll get back to their seat look at the chocolate bar favor and feel overwhelmed by sugar. I already feel like favors are a waste of money, and I would be so disappointed if we went to all this trouble to design and assemle them just to see them left on the tables.

i think it all sounds great! yummy.
if you are doing the chocolate bar favours, make sure that they are good chocolate bars. i seen a few of these and the chocolate tasted like it came from the dollar store. once word spread, everyone left their favours. what a waste.

The smores sound really yummy and it’s interactive. I would forego the chocolate bar and agree that if you decide to do it you should use quality chocolate only.
