Our songs are much longer than we could possibly use for the processional.  My DJ is going to cue up the song at a certain point instead of letting it play from the beginning, and then she will fade out the music before starting the next song so it will have a little smoother transition.  Will this work for you?

That is a good question. I am having my songs played from a cd but I have no clue how to shorten the songs so that the songs are not cut short and sound bad.

Are you playing a CD?

@liltexasbride: If you are burning CDs or playing mp3s another way, you can’t edit the mp3. You need to change it to a .wav format and you can edit that. You may need special software, but then you can put the .wav on a disc.  I’d recommend searching the web or even http://www.download.com for mp3 splitting software. I haven’t used any in years so I don’t know what is best.

some software used for making ringtones can work if you go to downloads. com and look for ringtone software i have used them and you pick the time and length and if you want fade, then they are on your computer!
