@mrsmay07:  clear nail polish does wonders!  I worked at claires for a while and that’s what we always did when we bought them (they wanted us to wear the jewellery) it worked pretty well, kept the finish and protected our fingers!

Definitely try Claires. I know a lot of pregnant girls who’ve gotten rings there since they swell up so much.

wanderingbrunette I got one off of Amazon for $15 and with shipping to a Toronto suburb it was around $23 the only people who can tell the ring isn’t my real one are my Maid/Matron of Honor and Fiance and they went together to buy my ring so they know it pretty well.

Good for you for standing your ground I’d be pretty annoyed if somebody told me what I meant to say or what I could and couldn’t say. It’s a public forum just because you’re new doesn’t mean you can’t say what you want, I don’t think senority applies here. I’m with @canarydiamond on the whole fake thing.

@This Time Round:  +1000 what a way to start off :/

i 100% understand your plight for a stand in ring (especially when going on vacations and etc) but there is a way to say things if u know they might bother someone.

@wanderingbrunette:  I am too looking for a fake ring, to take to my Mexican wedding ceremony, so I don’t get mine stolen or misplaced in the ocean! In Calgary – I know not exactly Edmonton, I found some nice ones at Walmart (Surprising! I know)  Targets selection wasn’t too bad either, worth checking them out.

@canarydiamond:  I was thinking the same thing… lighten up. Its so insignificant to be so concerned with what other people choose to call things.

@canarydiamond:  +100000 I wonder how many of the bees in here would correct an IRL friend and be like “oh no no!! You shouldn’t say fake, I’m sure it’s just a stand in”

@wanderingbrunette:  I ordered my “F” e-ring from Avon!  Also, like PP’s have mentioned, Claire’s, Sears, Target, Walmart, sometimes even The Bay has some nice, inexpensive costume rings!  GL with your search.

P.S. I like you! Some people get so wound up about terminology, it’s beyond annoying.

Welcome to the Bee! lol
