ok you guys here’s the problem my ring size is 7.50 i honestly believe it’s 7.75 but were just gonna believe the jewelers for now, my hand is also stocky or short so i have short chubby hands but they’re the cutest lil hands And well me and the hubby thought we’d get moissanite. and well my problem is i fell in love with a 2 ct moissy with a halo and i started to think before he orders it online is that too big for my fat lil hands or is it too big in general will i look gaudy?
every girl im sure wants the wow factors but not the wow costume jewelry factor
i guess what i’m asking is ladies can i get your opinions and could you show me your chubby lil hands with 2ct moissy or diamonds with a halo slender hands are welcomed as well lol as long as it a 2 ct and have a halo

My diamond is over two cts with a halo and I don’t think it’s gaudy at all. I get compliments every day actually. I do have small, slender hands and fingers (size 3.75) but I think it would look even better on a larger hand. The picture is blury but you get the scale.

Can’t help with pictures, but I would say if possible you might want to just go to a jewlelry store and try on a similar ring to see if you like it. I am also a firm believer in getting what you love and not worrying about what other people think-if it will make you happy to wear it every day then go for it!

I don’t have a photo to show you but as a jeweler, I don’t believe it will look gaudy, especially since you have a ring size of 7.75. How exciting!!!

Before you order your ring, go to another jeweler and have your finger sized again. We had a jeweler size my husband before our wedding, and we were told he was a size 12. But when we went to another jeweler who said he was a 11 1/4, and the ring fits 100 times better.

@chunkybunny: I don’t think you should worry about what is common in your area and just get what you like. Who cares what everyone else is doing and wearing. This is your ring and you should love it.
It’s hard to say what is “average” in LA because LA has a very diverse population and many socioeconomic levels. I’ve seen very small rings and I’ve seen very very large rings. I will say that while I do get many compliments on how pretty my ring is, only a few people have mentioned anything about it being large, (they have much smaller rings), which leaves me to think that this size is not uncommon here.

It’s all about what you are comfortable with. I have a halo ring and the center stone is a little over 1.3 carats, and with the pave around it it looks MUCH bigger. I live in San Francisco where big rings are pretty common so I was surprised that I got a lot of comments about how “huge” my ring was, and at first it made me uncomfortable. I’m used to it now and think a lot of people say that as a compliment and don’t mean to be intentionally snarky (though I have had a few of those). Like Meowkers said, I don’t think you should care about what is common, you should get what you love and what you will feel comfortable with.
