So, I went to a friend’s wedding alone this weekend out of town. My boyfriend of two years and I had “the talk” two months ago and I brought up timelines. I told him I want to be married within two years. He hesitated at first (he’s divorced and is cautious) but then told me that he does want to work towards marriage with me. I left my laptop on the couch – he knows my password as we use it to watch shows. I glanced at my search history and noticed someone was using it while I was gone. He searched for my pinterest page (he knows I have boards there as I’ve mentioned it before). He took a look at a few rings I had saved.
Ok, I dont love the snooping, but hey, he was looking for the right thing!
Wonder how long it will be from now, but happy he’s starting to be curious.

Sounds promising, Bee. 🙂 It sounds like you’re pretty level-headed about all of this but I’ll say it just as a reminder: Just because he’s looking at rings you like doesn’t mean he will propose soon. Seriously, it could be a couple weeks, a month, or a year.
My SO and I started discussing rings and all that fun stuff in December, and the actual proposal could happen anywhere between now and this coming December.

npoliver : Yeah, I agree. I know he’s not going to propose anytime soon, but it’s nice to know that he’s thinking about it without me pressuring him – besides that one conversation where we talked about it. He’s going to meet my family for the first time in three weeks (they live in Europe, we’re in the US), so he might be thinking about asking for permission possibly too. 🙂

How exciting! Biggest advice is to just enjoy this time, as it is quite a magical time to enjoy just before the craziness of wedding planning ensues!
