USE THE TOOTHPASTE!!! It was extremely painful (for me) starting with the 4th round. I whiten my teeth regularly with crest whitening strips, but this pain was INSANE. But on the bright side, it only lasted the day after and after that my teeth were 100% better. I did not use the toothpaste before going, only after.

My Darling Husband does not whiten regularly and he couldn’t make it through round 3. But it was the same, the next day it’s super painful, but after that you’re ok.

@countrygirl62312: they gave me 2 advils before, i THINK that helped. haha. I think the toothpaste will help a lot. That or it was all in my head that the toothpaste made the pain go away.

I didn’t know zoom whitening was painful! What a shame…I have very sensitive teeth and thought that it might be a less painful way than strips 🙁

@kkish3: Have you tried the gentle strips? My Fiance uses them and they work pretty well.

@countrygirl62312: I wanted to do this until I did research. I don’t have sensitive teeth but that doesn’t seem to matter- from what I’ve read there is a lof of pain regardless. I’ll stick with the Whitestrips!

I had Zoom done in November with no prep beforehand. I had a few zinging pains for the next 24 hours but nothing horrendous and all I did afterwards was eat largely white food for a week and use a sensitive toothpaste.

My teeth are a bit brighter but it definitely wasn’t the dramatic result I’d expected. I’m thinking of getting trays through my dentist for wearing from now ’til the wedding.
