A few of you might have seen my post a few weeks ago about a J.Crew “everyday” dress that I sort of fell in love with for my flower girl. I’m not sure where they get off thinking that a $100 silk dress is “everyday” attire for a little girl, but hey, it is J.Crew, after all.
Well, I finally got a response from my sister-in-law on Tuesday saying the my niece WILL be my flower girl, and she let me know that she’s currently wearing a size 7 slim. I sent her a link of the dress, and let her know I would keep an eye on it for a sale.
And, lo and behold, it went on sale this morning. Like the mad woman that I am, I snatched it up in a size 6-7 and a size 8 (just in case).
Is that unusual, for the bride to buy something for the flower girl and then have the parents pay her back? My sister-in-law already told me they would pay for it, but since she’s going to have to try it on AFTER we buy it, I hate to make her buy both sizes and then return one. I, on the other hand, have no problem returning one and being reimbursed for the other.
Either way, the dress has been purchased, along with a very cute cardigan and a flower headband. Hopefully the colors go together, as it’s sort of hard to tell online.
So, without further ado, this is what my sweet little niece will almost certainly be wearing:
