I have a small hang up you could say. When I went with Mr. P to look at tuxes we were told by the associate working at Al’s that the ring bearer should wear the same colors as the groom. You see I am wearing ivory. He is wearing Black with an Ivory vest etc. The gals are wearing eggplant dresses and the gents are wearing black with eggplant accents. So we had tentatively reserved the matching (as close as can match with a 2T size) black/ivory combo for the lil one. So my thought was that the flower girl should wear ivory right!? Well someone told me that the flower girl should match the bridesmaids. But why would the Ring Bearer match the groom and the Flower Girl match the BM? I’m a tad bit confused.
So…is there a proper way to dress the wee ones? Is it really just up to me? What would you guys do? Eggplant or Ivory for the tots!?

It’s completely up to you! Most of the time, I see flower girls in white/ivory, but if you’d like to put her in eggplant I think that would look great too!

I say it’s up to you. If it were me, I would look for an ivory Flower Girl dress with an eggplant sash or something.

I think traditionally the flower girl and ring bearer match the bride and groom!
However, I prefer when they match the bridal party! So basically you can do whatever your heart desires!

My color is also purple but wisteria ( lighter than eggplant) and my gown is ivory. I am putting my flower girls in ivory with wisteria sashes If I had a little ring berer he would match the groom. Not that this is how it should be — just what I like. If your original ideas was for the ring berer to match the groom and the flower girls to match you — GO FOR IT!! Your wedding your choice — nothing is written in stone!!
