my mom has had lots of failure with eharmony (two big ones) and hasn’t found success yet. I did find my Fiance online, but not a dating website 😡 We’re kind of embarassed about it and try not to mention it to people… We weren’t TRYING to find anyone though, it just happened.

My fiance and I met on eharmony.  He was my 2nd date (the 1st was awful) and I was his umteenth date.  He said he knew on our 2nd date that this was it.  🙂  It took me a bit longer.  I do not like telling people.  My parents do not know.  My younger sister and brother know by accident.  His whole family knows and it’s cool.  I don’t know what to do about my parents now.  It’s like, it’s been too long….  But if someone talks about it at the wedding….  I don’t know.  Haha.  This is so stupid.

I know two couples, both married, who met from online dating.  One was eHarmony.

My Fiance and I met on an online dating site, though not on eHarmony.  We’ve been together for two and a half years so far.

@Grey, it’s not stupid! I’m afraid of someone bringing it up at my wedding too! I know most people already know anyway, but that doesn’t mean I want to hear about it! lol

I tried eH amd had zero success. Some anti-success, actually. Then when I moved I joined a free dating site– terrible site, actually! But in spite of all the awful/laughable guys on there I found Mr. Rain. It is a little awkward, though, when people ask how we met. We try to just say "online" and leave it at that, but some people just won’t let it go!

I am one of the biggest proponents of eHarmony you’ll ever meet! My Fiance and I did actually meet on there. He was the first match I went out with and I was the second he went out with. Our first date was 14 hours long because we felt so much that we already knew eachother. I would recommend it to anyone 🙂

At first I was kind of embarrassed to tell people that’s how we met, but after a while I’ve gotten used to it and even proud of it. I think more people are open to online dating than care to admit.

P.S. There is a Web site called eHarmony Advice, where one of the moderators saw me and actually referred me to this one. I believe this site was even established by eHarmony or its subsidiaries.

I tried eHarmony once but never found anyone in my area. Fiance and I met the old fashioned way — through work! I really liked the idea of the test, though. The only thing that bothers me is that you can’t go back and take it again. I got back together with my ex shortly after I joined. By the time I was ready to go back to online dating, I was a VERY different person, and I’m sure my answers would have changed a LOT.

I had actually used e-harmony, never found a good match!!  But good for those of you that have.  I did however meet my  Fiance from another dating site and knew from the first phone call that he was the one.  So great things can and have happened from online dating!!!

My husband and I met there.  We instantly clicked.  He said he knew I was the one from the beginning.  I took a little more convincing.  Very few people know we met on E-Harm, I just prefer to keep it that way.  Although I think it worked out well for us both.  I was his 2nd date, and he was my 3rd.

We meet on AOL! We were both at some chat room and we clicked, this was his first time to Iraq and when he got his "vacation" he came to see me. Then I moved to Texas when he got back and after the got out of active duty we moved to CA. That was 5 years ago. The first time we talked on the phone we talked for 5 hrs, yeah I know it cost like $150 long distance fees can bite you. We have always felt like we’ve known each other for like 20 years.
