Just curious: why does she need to have an incorporated business? Why is an artisan selling her wares not ok?

He really doesn’t believe the 442 positive feedbacks she’s gotten? That can’t be faked–an items HAS to be sold and paid for through Etsy in order to leave feedback.

But doing business online is risky.

Only if you don’t do your research–I realize that’s what you’re doing, but really, she has 442 feedbacks, 100% positive. That should be enough. I’ve been selling, trading, and buying online for 14 years now (from various retailers, ebay, trading forums, etc.), and cannot remember the last time I was scammed.

Edited because I’m dumb and just saw that you posted in the thread I linked. Derp.

@KTBanana:  Hi there. My Fiance emailed back and forth with Eidel several times before purchasing my ring, with no problems.

We did have a slight problem with shipping, as there was a misunderstanding about which date he wanted it shipped by (which I think might have been more my Fiance not being totally clear). Once that was cleared up though, he got the ring within two days.

I don’t think he is going to get ripped off, but if he is more comfortable purchasing from a bricks and motar store, then that is definitely the way to go, especially for such a big purchase! I get wanting to be totally comfortable when you are spending that kind of money.

I must come across as an Eidel fan girl but honestly, I love my ring. It is so beautiful and so well made. Trust the Etsy feedback!

I’m the other way round. I hate buying in store. Especially expensive things like jewelry. I hate feeling pressured by sales people to buy a mass produced thing I know I could buy online cheaper!

My Fiance is a computer guy and knows all about how people can scam you online…and he still bought my ring from EidelPrecious. It took a lot of convincing even though he wanted me to pick my ring out because he was afraid to buy something sight-unseen. I think it scares men because her rings are not your “typical” diamond engagement ring. Second, you won’t know until the ring comes how it looks on your finger. The nice thing though is that you have 7 days to try it on, get it appraised it you are unsure, and the like. After that, you can’t return it. But then, I don’t know why you would want to after seeing it in person. Wink

All in all, engagement rings get little resale value anyway, and EidelPrecious’s craftsmanship is just beautiful. You have no need to worry, I have banged my ring on many things and it is just fine. Soooo if you like it, then what else matters? If you guys order it and it isn’t what you expected, you can send it back. No worries.

Hello Ladies ๐Ÿ™‚

New Bee, here.. Just purchased an E ring from EP on Etsy last night with my soon-to-be Fiance… Yay!! 1.4 ct Champagne cushion in WG halo.. Yummm! I will say that the seller hasn’t been super quick to get back to me with Qs either, but I hope the product to be all you’ve said it to be as well.

I aim not to hijack this thread but thought it appropriate to inquire along with my comment re communication with this seller : has anyone who has purchased an E ring from EP had it appraised? I’m curious as to the $ value vs her pricing.

@AdelleMaidstone:  Personally I have not had mine appraised and I don’t think I will bother. The value given by appraisals is usually really high and wildly inconsistent though.

@AdelleMaidstone: Nope, don’t really care to. The ring is simply beautiful, and while it was a big purchase, it’s not like I am wearing 10,000 dollars on my finger…still trying to decide if I should though for insurance purposes. To insure, or not to insure, that is the question.
