Disclaimer: I did NOT use Eivans as my photographer- this review is based on the wedding photography meeting I had with this company. I am only writing this review because I have seen on multiple sites that they offer dissatisfied customers incentives to take down negative reviews of their company and since I didn’t use them they have nothing to offer me. I met with an individual in the Oak Lawn office.
I went to Eivans with interest in their $1200 photography/videography package (my budget for photography was $3000 but if I could get it for less why not?) When I arrived I had already met with several other photogs so I had some ideas of what I wanted and the “promotional tricks” that some of these companies are often up to. Through my various questions I was quickly informed that their promotional package is REALLY just used to get ppl into their office (yes the man really said that) and that the beautiful album they offer does NOT come with any pictures in it (what the heck am I supposed to do with a photo-less album?!?). Throughout our talking, the salesman became more and more aggressive telling me I definitely want them to photograph my wedding because they are the best in the city and any other company I go with are going to give me crap photos. Even after I began to get angry and say that we should end the meeting before I scare off his other customers he wanted tried to do a “let’s shake on it” deal and have me sign papers that day for their most expensive package-could he have been any more clueless?!?! Anyway with a meeting that went that badly I didn’t want them anywhere near my wedding.
Note: my friend got married 3 months before my wedding and had the worst time with Eivans. By the time she went thru the end of the photo process with Eivans I had already booked a different photog but she stated over and over again “I’m so glad you chose NOT to go with Eivans!!!”
I wanted to put this on here because i couldn’t post it on Wedding Wire because we did not ACTUALLY do business but I wanted to make sure future brides are spared the misery of meeting with this company.

@futuremrssportsman1019: There’s a very good reason those sites don’t allow random people who aren’t actual customers to leave reviews, and this is why. So you don’t like their business structure and found their interpersonal skills pushy in *your* eyes. Why come online and trash their business name when they never even performed a service for you? It seems especially disingenuous considering you already knew your friend had a terrible experience and your budget is more than double the advertised price point.

Lots of photographers offer a price for an album which does not include images. My photographer being one of them. He uses an external company for his coffee table books and the price is purely for printing and binding etc.
Like any supplier there are bound to be people that arent happy whilst others are truely satisfied.
Its a very competitive business. I am not surprised they were keen to shake on it there and then.
I do not feel it fair for you to post this about a company you have never used yourself. If you choose not to use them, fine. I know your intentions are good however.
