So, I tried on my outfit yesterday and although it zips up, it is a bit on the snug side.
It is wearable, but more snug then I care for. I am not looking to starving myself, but what can I do in the next 6 days to maybe slim down just a wee bit?

6 days.. Not much. More than anything do what FEELS best.. Like if you’re not going to eat big meals, that will make you feel more comfortable in it probably. But don’t do anything drastic – definitely not worth it! Do you have pictures?

thehappiestbridetobe: No I didn’t take any pictures. It is just snug. I am tentatively thinking to cut out carbs and dairy and load up on steam vegetables, protein and water.

MrsTickledPink: Hmmm . . . maybe avoid salty foods/soft drinks and drink lots of water to try and decrease any water retention. Nothing overboard.

Not much that I can think of in that short period of time except maybe a liquid diet and I don’t know if that’s very healthy. I would look for or get a backup dress now just in case..remember you’ll also be sitting a lot for gifts, photographed, etc and will want to be comfortable!

eat soups (low calorie, low salt veggie soups) and salads + lean protiens as meals. Eat fruits for snacks. Thats the best advice for not starvng. Its eating, but its limiting calories without feeling empty. Itll definitely slim you down a bit because of the high fiber content and wil get rid of bloating. I’d also cut out all liquid calories.

MrsTickledPink: ok 1st off i tend to somehow look slimmer after a work out … so hit the gym every morning this week weather u feel like it or not
i would suggest upping your water intake … also my cousin gains 9lbs the day after over doing sodium (i thought this was her way over blowing this prob but she is not) i had a high sodium day and gained 5lbs 2 days later i was back to my normal wight
NO SODIUM like read your lables dont eat fast food or pre package food try and limit your self to 1500-2000mg is that what they are marked in mg i cant rememeber but watch your sodium it will help hugely
ahh snack all day to reve up your burning and do some body toning workout stuff even jsut 50 extra criss cross crunches
good luck and straving your self will not work however if you know of an infrared sanun those do do the trick do it 3 time this week it will make a huge dif

Go for at least 3 runs in the next 6 days (especially on the day of) and cut carbs out, you’ll see a pretty drastic bloat loss.

Cut out salt, sugar, and carbs (including fruit and low fat/Greek yoghurt). Eat a lot of green vegetables and lean protein. Drink water, herbal tea and black coffee if you need the caffeine.
I do this before Jiu Jitsu competitions and lose around 4-5 kilos in a week (10-12lb), I only weigh around 145lb to start with, and I eat really healthily most of the time, so if you aren’t a health freak already, you should easily be able to lose a couple of lb in a week.

A Victoria’s Secret model’s diet: “For nine days before the show, she will drink only protein shakes — “no solids”. The concoctions include powdered egg. Two days before the show, she will abstain from the daily gallon of water, and “just drink normally”. Then, 12 hours before the show, she will stop drinking entirely.” <- of course, this lady has a nutritionist following her so I don’t think anything as drastic would be safe!!!
