Voting this evening after work with Darling Husband, then we’ll be up all night awaiting the results!  ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve been following the BBC feed since this morning. I’m fascinated (and terrified) to see how this goes.

Heading out in a minute! Usually I early vote, but the lines were 2 hours every time I tried to!

Pumpkin spice latte afterwards sounds like HEAVEN! Anyone know if Starbucks has gingerbread yet? Mmmm.

They do here, but we seem to have gotten the red cups earlier than the USA this year. I spent most of the year using up a litre bottle of the gingerbread syrup I got last year, so this year I’m on the soy toffee nut lattes. ๐Ÿ˜€

@SpecialSundae:  It is slightly terrifying, I will admit.  This could be either a very wonderful day or a tragic one, depending on your point of view.  I, for one, cannot imagine our country taking a huge  step backwards, if Romney wins.  Say prayers for us, please!

Voted this morning and got a nonfat caramel macchiato after. Starbucks and voting just go together ๐Ÿ™‚ (and judging by the line, many agree)

I voted (early) two weeks ago, since I wasn’t going to be in the US at the time of the election. Right now, I am watching the coverage on some random English news channel that I have never heard of before.

@RedAngelDreamer:  They do in the UK anyway! I had a gingerbread latte at the Belfast International Airport yesterday evening. (They’re not doing pumpkin spice anymore though, which is dissapointing because that’s my favorite!)

@Irish Terrier:  I don’t think they were terribly popular. I just couldn’t get into them.

@Sunfire:  I’ve got my fingers crossed and an old workmate working at the heart of the Obama campaign, so you can guess which way I’m hoping that it’ll go. ๐Ÿ™‚

@SpecialSundae:  I remember reading somewhere that this year was the first year they had them in the UK, is that right? Maybe they’ll just take a while to catch on or something. Either way though, it’s fine … I really like the gingerbread ones too!

I voted early because I won’t be able to make the polls because of work.. it was an hour wait on Saturday first thing in the morning, with a two hour wait after I left!  Yay voters!!  The more turnout, the better!

A little history lesson for the day…Yesterday in 1872 Susan B. Anthony was arrested and eventually charged a $100 fine for being a woman who registered and voted in the national election. She fought until her death to give women the right to vote and it wasn’t until 1919 (13 years after her death) that Congress passed the 19th amendment giving the right to vote to all citizens in the United States.

One person can make a difference. So go out and exercise your right to vote today! And if you don’t, shame on you.

@Irish Terrier:  I think it was the first year. I just found it too sickly and that it didn’t really taste of pumpkin.
