Been thinking about doing this for some time and then putting it off as not really the negative type, But I cant just let this go and feel i need to share with you my experience with elegant park.
After searching numerous china wedding sites I settled on Elegant Park. Really helpful, couldnt do enough, sent me swatches, email straight back in the morning. The lovely girl who took my order Christina just couldnt do enough.
After sending them a picture of the dress i wanted( to which they didnt hesitate in anyway to say they couldnt make) I stressed i didnt want anything shiney and was looking for a relaxed vintage matt look.
The picture was a plain long satin chemise under layer and i paid extra for matt satin. Then a loose lace overlay with lace sleeves and back. I cant tell you how i stressed nothing shiney. Christina told me not to worry and that she would follow my order through to the end. I paid extra for the high quality workmanship to make sure i would get the right result. I was told the high quality guaranteed the dress to be 95-97% as close as original picture. The dress cost $450 so around £350ish.
Just before the dress arrived i was checking their site and saw a version of my dress . It was nothing like my picture so emailed them to make sure it wasnt mine. I was told again not too worry and my dress had been dispatched. The dress turned up in a plastic bag but ok probably cheaper that way and was in a overbag so let that go.
I opened the parcel and was absolutely gutted! the dress was the one i had seen on the site so they were very quick off the mark to get it on before i had even seen it. But worse to come and i know this sounds wrong, but they had beaded the dress really heavily, boned, bra cups, heavy lining under the satin lining and all stitched down so not a loose chemise. The worse thing was where the beading ended at the waist there was a line and you could see through the bottom of the dress.
I contacted the lovely Christina and told her this wasnt what i had asked for and why after all my emails about nothing shiney, paying extra for matt fabric would they bead the dress. I was told the tailors thought the lace picture looked shiney and they though it would look better that way. I said they should have checked if unsure. I also said about the light to dark at the waist and she said they could send me some appliques to sew on.
I was really upset by this and asked her to take it up with her manager. I was offered $50 vouchers. But you could only spend them separately and they would send me 2x$10 and 1x$20. I would have to spend $100 extra to get 1x$10 discount and spend $200 to get $20 off next order….as if i would be spending anymore.
I am so deeply upset, but i guess thats the chance you take. Just be warned ladies and dont expect too much. Maybe I did.
