It is very disconcerting that two years later the same unprofessional managers that amyloufustino referred to in her post “Elegant Touch Bridal & Tuxedo- TERRIBLE DISHONEST STORE” are still ruining the bridal experience for patrons in the Baltimore area. Below describes my horrific experience at Elegant Touch just one week before my sister-in-law’s wedding:
“Over promise, under deliver” is Elegant Touch’s mantra. When I heard that my to-be sister-in-law (who is the nicest and sweetest person anywhere) paid a fortune for alterations to her dream dress and has returned to Elegant Touch for the fourth time due to sloppy alterations, including uneven hemming and crooked lines, I attended her last fitting to see what is going on.
At this fitting, I was appalled at how unprofessional the manager and sales associate were when we politely commented on how promised alterations did not meet specifications. Instead of courtesy and respect, we were treated with a gratuitous dose of attitude from the manager who made up an excuse for every anomaly and flaw in the alterations. When we left the store, neither the manager nor associate ever apologized to my sister-in-law for her negative experience at their store, nor did they acknowledge her or our party with so much as a simple “thank you” for our business.
When I went back to Elegant Touch later to cordially discuss with the managers regarding the lack of customer service, the managers became extremely rude and belligerent. When I indicated that I was going to post a review on their lack of customer service, they sank to the level of calling me names in front of other customers. These managers, woman and man, must be the same unprofessional individuals that amyloufustino referred to in her post. No bride or her party should have to go through what we endured at Elegant Touch. Please spend your money at a bridal shop that will actually respect, appreciate and value your business.
My recommendation is that when Elegant Touch does not deliver on promises made and you speak up to request service, please ensure you have your entire party with you for support to ensure that as many people witness their lack of professionalism as possible when you call them out on the lack of professionalism and customer service.
Customer service is NOT what Elegant Touch is about.
