I wanted to submit my review for elegantpark.com
When I learned that I could get a dress from China on the cheap it seemed to good to be true and in researching the websites, I ended up seeing a LOT of horror stories. The two sites that stood out to me as having ACTUAL reviews I could verify were real folks AND that were good reviews were elegantpark.com and lightinthebox.com
I chose Elegant Park because they had a wider selection. And on another bridal site I was on, there were more positive reviews of them.
I actually sent them a photo of an Allure dress I tried on a few months ago that was a full length ball gown that I wanted in knee length and I wanted to change the sash to a colored sash, all of which they said they could do.
They have two fabric options and I went with the “high quality” and in total, it was about $350, including shipping, for my dress.
It took about a month from the day I ordered it till I got it, and the actual shipping time was only three or four days (I’m in California). They emailed me when it shipped.
I did the custom measurements rather than standard sizing, but I ordered it with a lace up back instead of a button up back hoping that would make the sizing easier.
The dress is really amazingly made. The quality is great. I’m glad I order the “high” quality because the pictures i’ve seen of the lower quality look cheap, but mine looks great. It weighs a lot less than the original I tried on, but mine is only knee length and the dress I got just some with one crinolin layer inside. The dress itself is lace over poly-satin.
It fits PERFECTLY. I will not have to get any alterations done at all.
The only thing I could be picky about is the color of the sash is lighter than I would have liked. I wanted a navy blue and the sash on my dress is more of a royal blue. I could pay to have that changed out but I’m not that picky and it’ll work for my wedding so I’m not worried. I would suggest, though, getting fabric samples if you want to be specific about color. Looking at the pictures of the colors online wasn’t super great.
Overall, it was a SUPER easy experience and I spent $350 for the dress of my dreams, custom done to my specifications. The customer service was absolutely great, I emailed with a “Christina” who was really easy to communicate with.
