Hello, pretties! I’m looking for some makeup advice! I am looking to buy some products to do my own makeup (I could NOT see myself spending a lot of money on makeup from a professional when I could use that money for something else. plus I like doing my own makeup:) ). I have one bottle of one of ELF’s HD blush, but unfortunately the blush was too red for my skin tone so I never wore it much. I love how it’s super pigmented, but since I haven’t worn it much I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it? Does it have good staying power? Would you recommend it for a wedding? I love the price on it, compared to other blushes, so that’s why I’m asking! Someone let me know, I’m dying for some opinions or maybe alternatives!

I haven’t personally used this, but if you look up EmilyNoel83 on YouTube she just posted a video about this blush and how to make it “wearable” since it is so pigmented. ImSamazing:

i have tried many of the ELF line, and most of it was eyeshadow and it never stayed :(:(
For something a bit less expensive i try the mineral foundation n powders and stuff cuz their good for ur skin too if ur prone to break outs.
another one is nyc, not sure who its by but i use it all the time and its only 4 bucks n they have nice shades 🙂
Good luck my pretty!

ImSamazing: I don’t have any experience with the ELF hd blush, but I know that their products are hugely hit and miss (some are amazing, some are trash). If you’re looking for other blush recommendations in that price range, NYX has a pretty wide selection of powder blush shades which are pretty pigmented and which sell for $5, I think? I personally find with creams that it’s hard to control the exact amount I get on my face, which is why I prefer powders, since they can be a lot more buildable.

They have a blush/bronzer duo that I love and wore for my wedding. It stayed all day, and it is great because it is a 2 for 1 at already cheap elf prices. I tried tons of expensive options and liked this just as well/ better than everything else.

I like the HD blush but you have to be super carfully. I dab with a sponge and blend out. Also, Use a lighter color than you think you want because it is hard to get them sheer.

ImSamazing: I love the HD blush and the one I use looks neon pink in the container.
I use a brush and very very small amount. I just barely press down on the pump then run my brush over the color to full spread on the brush. Then I apply to my cheeks. I will then use ELF HD powder over top to finish it all off and it really tones down the color.

I love this blush! I actually finished a whole bottle and I BARELY finish any of my products. Like PPs said it is VERY pigmented so a teeny teeny amount goes a long way.
I used the Real Techniques Stippling brush with it!
