    I was just telling DH about this the other day and how creepy I think it is. If this had been around when I was a child, I am fairly certain I would have found it terrifying.

    This is about as creept as Santa. Stranger coming down your chimney into your house in the middle of the night after a year of watching your every move? TERRIFYING. haha (but seriously, I don’t think we’ll be doing santa with future kids, it’s just weird)

    Creeps me out.  I hope I don’t have to use scare tactics like a plush elf to get my child to behave in exchange for Christmas gifts.

    That said, I wouldn’t call anyone out for using one but they would probably catch me making weird faces at it.

    I had never even heard of this creepy thing until my aunt got one and started posting pics on Facebook.

    Poor Rapunzel.

    At least the Squinkies are taking precautions.

    And for those of us who are extremely annoyed by this new tradition, there’s this. A mom’s hilarious take on why the elf is such a bastard 🙂

    @HeyKaraoke:

    42.  Take picture of child sleeping.

    This is one I would do just to scare the snot out of them.  I’d like to perch the Elf right on their sleeping heads and take a picture of that.  I could probably whip that picture out in the summer when they’re being bad and it would scare them enough to knock it off.  I’ll bookmark that one.

    Hahaha, dying. Omg, that article is hilarious.
