Has anyone seen smaller sized elongated cuts for an eternity/stacking band? I’ve seen 2x4mm baguette moissanite rings but don’t want step-cuts.

I’ve contacted Starsgem and Tianyu and they would custom cut them but I don’t want to spend $$$ to find out they’re dull.

Also, what’s the consistency of custom cuts? I worry that inconsistencies in cut will be very obvious in an eternity band.

Any information or recommendations are much appreciated!

rotybob :  that antique square cushion’s are super cute. Not that expensive to do in a 4 or 4.5 mm moissanite with the Chinese companies. Can be done as a 5 stone too.

Not a big fan of the radiant from them and they will most likely be dull. There are more expensive options with US companies. I know you said no to stepcuts but the ssquare Asscher also look pretty good.

Thanks – I couldn’t find any that are 2mm width unless custom cut.

I thought more about this width but with elongated cushions, I think this was actually yours angelwaye (2×4 baguette) https://s3.amazonaws.com/new-img1.loupetroop.com/photos/imgs/000/070/276/full/E6D89D54-4912-4D1C-96D3-8EA082492507.jpeg

I quite like this but it’s still a bit too wide and oval (5×3)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tdeLvTeHwk

What do you think, any point in persuing this idea?

Do you have recommendations for elongated antique cushion cut (harro for example above lists different cutlet types)?

rotybob :  that baguette ring was mine and it is really the only way to get a 2 mm band in a rectangular shape.  Most of the other square/rectangular moissanites cuts just can’t be done that small except for maybe a Princess cut in a channel type setting.

The problem with the really small moissanite cuts is that they don’t have very much sparkle so they are hard to recommend.  I have the baby antique cushion’s but they are 4.5 mm.  They are super cute and actually look really nice as a 5 stone with a band that can be tapered down to 2 mm at the bottom. Doing them with Asscher cuts is also an option.

There is also something like this radiant cut but I don’t think they are great cuts in moissanite.

This was mrsgreeneyes 5 stone ring off the Tianyu thread:

I haven’t seen any antique elongated cushion’s but I think they would be fabulous. Probably the smallest they could do would be 3×5 or 4×6 though.  I would love to see something like that…..
