It’s gorgeous- go for it! You won’t be too dressy- you are the bride and can’t look out of place:)

@lstyle25:  The bride who eloped to Italy, do you know where she got her dress from?

I love it, I read the article but couldn’t find where she bought her dress from, I may have missed it.

Thanks

@lstyle25:  Wow! It’s beautiful! It looked better on the bride who eloped in Italy than the model.

I’ll look into it.

Thank you for the info!

I’m planning an elopement as well WITH NO GUESTS.  lol.  We want it to be fairytale like, so we’ve chosen to be married at The Biltmore Estate in Ashville NC.  Since it is the largest castle in the US and I want to be Cinderella (LOL), I’m trying to decide on these two dresses below.    I think that a bride should wear whatever she finds beautiful.  Age or event or location should never factor in.  It’s YOUR day.

This post is a lifesaver!  We are eloping to Maui this fall and initially I wanted something simple so I ordered a dress from J.Crew that was so…blah.  I just didn’t feel like a bride.  I ended up buying a Maggie Sottero gown (and spent a bit too much, oops!) and was starting to worry that it was too much for an elopement.

@MissSandyShore:  All these dresses are beautiful!  I don’t think its too much for an elopment though! … The reality is its you wedding and fingers crossed, you won’t another, whether its an elopement or not its your chance to look great and feel great!  Who cares if there are guests or not? If the person you love and plan on spending the rest of your life with is ๐Ÿ˜‰
I personally like the idea of an elopment, something so romantic about it… but at the same time I’m a sucker for events, event planning etc and my FH prefers a larger event with family and friends (but I must admit that its a good option, its intimate, cheaper and romantic) which is why I think you should all go with your gut and wear what makes YOU happy! Cool

Since you’re going to have the photos forever, you might as well go big. You’re saving tons of money on an elopment, right? Get the dress you want. I’d go as fancy as possible.

Thank god I found this thread! My FH and I are eloping next summer! I’m not really “out there and think I would look “swallowed” by a ball gown so I’m goin with this little number ๐Ÿ™‚ what do you think? We will be at a B&B homestead in the hinterlands!
