Curious for the future, how do you typically go about hiring a photographer for an elopement? Is it still considered a wedding package even though it’s much shorter and there’s no reception? I imagine it depends a lot on the photographer but what was your process like?

A lot of photographers will adjust prices accordingly! Just reach out to the ones you are interested in, give them as much info as possible about what you’re envisioning for that day when it comes to time, what pics you want, etc, and go from there!

When you get in touch with photographers they will have a different set pricing for elopements. Just start getting in contact and email them what their rates are. They are usually a lot cheaper since it’s only for a few hours and there are only a few people to shoot.

Depends on the photographer. Even if they dont list an elopement package contact the ones you are interested in for a custom package that fits your budget and needs.

You should hire a photographer & normally they will work with you.

Find a photographer you like and email them for info. Let them know what you’re planning and they’ll send you prices accordingly.
Pricing will vary depending on the area, and of course keep in mind the day. I can tell you most of my elopments are usually 2-3 hours of coverage. The biggest advice I can give is to be fleixble on the day, because rarely will we take an elopement on a Saturday unless it’s a couple of months out and a date we aren’t booked for.

Our elopement photographer was absolutely wonderful! She is a wedding photographer full time, so we just emailed her and explained the situation and she created a custom package for us that included about 80 photos and an hour of her time for I believe $300, which was super duper worth it. The best thing is to just find a photographer friendly enough to work with you!

I met with the photographer, discussed what I wanted, and he gave me a quote!!
